(December, 2005 – Pocasset, MA) Hydroid Inc. announced today that they have recently hired four new employees. Lorna Bandstra, Brenda Benaski, Jon Hesse, and Christopher Leavitt all started recently to support ongoing activities in marketing, accounting, and manufacturing.
Lorna Bandstra, Marketing Assistant, has extensive experience in marketing, research, graphic design, and data base management. Lorna was most recently employed as a senior marketing associate at Associates of Cape Cod in Falmouth, Massachusetts. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.
Brenda Benaski, Manufacturing Technician, has been involved in the oceanographic field since graduating from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts. Brenda was most recently employed at Webb Research in Falmouth, Massachusetts where she worked as a mechanical engineer and assembly supervisor. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electromechanical Engineering.
Jon Hesse, Production Assistant, has been involved in marine related activities for the past 15 years. Jon was most recently employed at Tenacious Marine in Barnstable, Mass and is the co-owner and operator of a commercial fishing vessel. He has also worked as a computer instructor and substitute teacher in the Barnstable school system. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.
Christopher Leavitt, Staff Accountant, has been involved in the accounting field since graduating from college. Chris was most recently employed as a staff accountant at Curran Management Services LLC in Yarmouth, Massachusetts. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bridgewater State College in Bridgewater, Massachusetts.
Hydroid Inc. holds the exclusive license from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution for the manufacture and further development of the REMUS Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) technology.
