Hydroid LLC announced today that they have recently hired Jennifer Martz for the position of Mechanical Engineer.
Jennifer is a 1996 graduate of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. She holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Jennifer has 10 years of experience as a mechanical engineer. She is a co-inventor and holds a patent for a specialized belt feeding system.
Jennifer was most recently employed as a Senior Development Engineer at Schwarzkopf Technologies LLC where she was involved in the design of high temperature, high performance furnaces. Prior to that she was employed as a Staff Engineer at Evergreen Solar Inc. where she led a technical team in the installation of 100 crystal growth furnaces.
She has over 10 years experience with a variety of software packages, including: 2D and 3D CAD systems. Jennifer is joining Hydroid at a pivotal period in the company’s growth as the REMUS technology expands into domestic and international markets. Hydroid has been actively growing infrastructure in all areas of the company to support a growing customer base.
Hydroid LLC holds the exclusive license from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution for the manufacture and further development of the REMUS Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) technology.
