(August 2006 – Pocasset, MA) Hydroid LLC announced today that they have recently hired Graham Lester for the position of Director of Business Development.
Graham has over twenty years of experience working in the marine & oceanographic field. He has fulfilled positions for companies delivering high technology undersea systems and instruments for academic, military and commercial applications.
He was most recently with Teledyne RD Instruments in San Diego, where he was employed as their Business Unit Leader for the Navigation line of Acoustic Doppler Velocity Logs. Graham has recently relocated from San Diego, CA, on the west coast of the United States, to Hydroid’s east coast location in Pocasset, Massachusetts. Graham has held previous marketing and sales positions at T.S.S. and Davy International, both located in the United Kingdom.
Hydroid’s president and chief executive officer, Christopher von Alt, stated that “Hydroid is pleased to welcome Graham on board. The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and Hydroid, has worked very closely with Teledyne RDI over the years as we’ve developed and refined the navigational capabilities of the REMUS systems. Teledyne RDI has played a key role in this development, as has Graham Lester. We’re excited to have him on board and I am confident he will assist us in continuing to grow Hydroid’s business.”
Mr. Lester commented on his recent move and said that “It’s great to be joining the Hydroid team, talented people, innovative products and tremendous customers. My experience as a Business Manager at Teledyne RD Instruments will be very beneficial in helping to develop Hydroid’s business.”
Hydroid LLC holds the exclusive license from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution for the manufacture and further development of the REMUS Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) technology.
