(May, 2006 – Pocasset, MA) Hydroid LLC announced today that they have recently hired Paul Pietryka for the positions of Electrical Engineer and Adele Chevalier for the position of Senior Assembler. Both have over twenty years experience in the oceanographic manufacturing industry.
Paul Pietryka was most recently with Falmouth Scientific in Cataumet, Massachusetts where he was employed as their Electrical/Manufacturing Engineer. His responsibilities included the design and development of hardware and software for electro-acoustic systems including steerable acoustic transducers, a multi-dimensional electronic compass, and electronic sub-systems used within an Autonomous Undersea Vehicle (AUV). Prior to working at Falmouth Scientific Paul held technical positions at both Benthos Inc. and Datasonics Inc. He holds an A.S.E.E. from Vermont Technical College and a B.S.E.E from the University of New Hampshire.
Adele Chevalier joins Hydroid from Teledyne Benthos Inc, where she was employed for the past nineteen years. She held various manufacturing positions during her tenure at Teledyne Benthos that ranged from assembly to manufacturing management. Her most recent position was as Ocean/Hydrophone Supervisor. In recent years Adele has also provided manufacturing consultation to both Marine Systems Technology and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, both located on Cape Cod. Adele has received extensive training in a variety of manufacturing processes including Lean Manufacturing, Mil-2000 soldering, and manufacturing management.
Hydroid LLC holds the exclusive license from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution for the manufacture and further development of the REMUS Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) technology.
