Pricing Analyst:
Hydroid is seeking a pricing analyst to join our growing marketing and sales department. The successful candidate will support marketing and sales, and finance in all pricing proposal efforts. Prior experience required in compiling cost data of materials, equipment and labor; developing, evaluating and maintaining pricing data and spreadsheets; assisting in the development of cost proposals; developing pricing analysis reports; assisting in budget and financial forecast; analyzing post delivery cost data to ensure effective and strategic pricing solutions and assisting with the development of improvement in pricing procedures and pricing systems.

Candidates must have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent, 5 years experience with related sales and proposal pricing experience. CPA or equivalent desired.

Technical Writer:
Hydroid seeks an experienced technical writer to fill a key position in our growing engineering department. The successful candidate will have experience developing product documentation including user guides, reference manuals, tutorials, “How To” guides, white papers, product presentations, and technical product data sheets.

The candidate must have a proven ability to research and develop high quality hardware and software documentation. Desktop publishing experience with all Microsoft products, FrameMaker, Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, PhotoShop, RoboHelp, and web design is required. A B.S. degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or equivalent experience in a technical field is required.

Field Technician:
Hydroid currently has an opening for a field service technician. The successful candidate will have mechanical and electronics troubleshooting experience with complex, software intensive systems. Domestic and international travel, of as much as 50% per year is required. The position will also require time spent outdoors, year round, working on small and large vessels, making at sea and small boat operational experience a plus. Cruise time, at sea, as long as 30 days is expected. Good communication skills and the ability to work within a dynamic group of highly motivated individuals is a must. The ability to obtain security clearance is required. We offer a competitive benefits package. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Mechanical Engineer:
Hydroid, the leading producer of autonomous underwater vehicles, seeks a junior level, BSME or equivalent, mechanical engineer to support both new development and manufacturing efforts.   Experience in the design of ocean instruments and/or underwater vehicles; demonstrated proficiency in material selection for underwater applications with corrosion considerations, structural analysis (FEA skills desired), electronics packaging, CAD and solid modeling (AutoCAD and Solidworks), and strong communication skills are preferred. Selected candidate will research, develop, plan, design mechanical and electromechanical products, oversee and coordinate activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems. Sales Engineer:
Hydroid is seeking an experienced sales engineer. The successful candidate will have experience working in a high tech manufacturing environment focused on both domestic and international markets as well as US and international defense agencies.

Extensive travel to domestic customers will be required. Prior experience selling to the U.S. Navy, and a familiarity with U.S. Government F.A.R. is a plus. Candidates must have a B.S. degree in Engineering. A degree in Ocean Engineering is preferred.
